Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 5, 2026

This website is operated by Gross Automation, LLC, a Wisconsin-based industrial automation distributor, as a product information site for the Mersen products we distribute. This policy explains what information this site collects — which is deliberately very little — and what happens when you follow a link to our main site.

What this site collects

This site has no contact forms, no shopping cart, and no user accounts. It does not ask for or store your name, email address, or any other personal details. Information collected is limited to:

  • Standard server logs — your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request are recorded in routine web-server logs, used only for security monitoring and troubleshooting. Logs rotate automatically and are kept for a short period.
  • Google Analytics 4 — we use Google Analytics (loaded via Google Tag Manager) to understand traffic patterns, such as which products visitors view. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (names beginning with _ga) on your browser. We use this data in aggregate only; we do not use advertising cookies, remarketing tags, or tracking pixels for ad targeting, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.

Links to our main site — visible by design

When you request a quote, contact us, or follow a product link, you are taken to our main website at grossautomation.com. Those links carry plain URL parameters (such as utm_source) that tell us which site referred you — they are visible to you in the address bar, contain no personal information, and we use no hidden identifiers to pass information behind the scenes.

Any personal information you then provide on grossautomation.com (quote requests, contact forms, newsletter signups) is governed by the Gross Automation Privacy Policy, which describes in detail how we handle, protect, and retain that data.

Service providers

This site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (US). Analytics are provided by Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager, under Google's own privacy policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because this site stores no personal data beyond short-lived server logs and aggregate analytics, such requests are handled through Gross Automation — see the Gross Automation Privacy Policy for how to exercise these rights and how to contact us.
